Created in 2011, the original Joggin’ for Frogmen 5k Run/Walk was held in San Diego on July 29, 2012. The race marked the one-year anniversary of the Extortion 17 helicopter tragedy in Afghanistan, a tribute to the 30 American warriors and 1 working dog lost that fateful day.
Joggin’ for Frogmen has since expanded to several annual races across the United States. In addition to attending one of these races in person, runners are also able to register as a Virtual Racer, set up a Shadow Run and participate anywhere in the world, or set up a fundraising page to continue supporting the Travis Manion Foundation.
Today, Travis Manion Foundation, a non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status is the exclusive beneficiary of Joggin’ for Frogmen. The race series has grown from 1 race in 2012 to numerous races across the United States. We hope you will jog with us to support our mission and to continue helping our military families.
