San Diego, CA – Registration & Race Information
What is Joggin’ for Frogmen?
Joggin’ for Frogmen is a chip timed 5k run/walk. Those of you who wish to walk will start a few minutes after our runners start. Strollers are welcome but please place yourself behind the faster participants. No bikes or skateboards allowed. The Tadpole Trot for the kids will start when all of our runners/walkers return back to the finish line. Tadpole Trotters need to register for the Tadpole Trot, but can do the 5k with their parents at no extra cost.
Remember to “Get your boots on!” We have partnered with our friends at The Boot Campaign and encourage everyone to honor our troops by wearing your boots while you run. If you don’t already have a pair of boots, you can purchase them from The Boot Campaign shop, knowing that your purchase will support this wonderful organization! Net proceeds from the sales of the boots will go to support the Boot Campaign’s five initiatives – Housing, Jobs, Wellness, Family Support and Urgent Assistance. Please select “Joggin’ for Frogmen” from the Boot Campaign drop down menu when you purchase your boots from their site.
Letter from the Race Director
I hope you can join us for the 2014 Joggin’ for Frogmen 5K in beautiful San Diego! I am excited to serve as this year’s Race Director. I feel it is our duty to give back to those who have sacrificed to protect our freedoms. My father is a Vietnam veteran and I am proud of the way our country has progressed in honoring our veterans but there is always more work to be done. Thank you for joining me in support of Joggin’ for Frogmen and honoring our American Heroes.
San Diego Joggin’ for Frogmen 5k
Letter from the Race Manager
I grew up with pictures of my father’s time in the Army Reserve, one grandfather’s stories of his time in the Army during Korea, and the other grandfather in the Air Force that also served during Korea would only smile. One of my brothers served in the Air Force. Several of my friends serve in the Navy, Army, Marines, and Coast Guard. I have seen sad farewells and happy homecomings. I was raised with an appreciation of what it means to be an American and what it took, and still takes, for the men and women of our armed forces to protect our freedom to be American.
San Diego is not just a place with great weather, beautiful beaches, and peeling waves. It’s also home to more active and retired US military than anywhere else. I’m proud to call San Diego my home. I’m also proud to help Joggin’ for Frogmen San Diego in its third annual 5K to raise money to give back to the men, women, and families who serve us.

Top 5 fastest runners wearing their BOOTS! (award information coming soon!)
All 5k finishers will receive a JFF medal (which is also a bottle opener and a keychain!) Along with this, we will have JFF award medals for the top 3 fastest males and females in these age groups:
All kids who register and complete the Tadpole Trot will receive a JFF Tadpole Trot medal! It’s not a rubber version this year, it’s an actual medal! Note: if you register your child for the Tadpole Trot, they can run with an adult in the 5k for free. However, they will not receive a 5k finisher medal.
We will also have Tadpole awards for the top 3 fastest boys and girls in these age groups:
2 & Under
Please note that we’ve changed registration systems this year and you do not have to login! It’s super easy and fast. However, we are not offering online group registrations. Because we have multiple registration categories, we need to capture shirt sizes for each registrant and we need a waiver signed for each person, each person must register separately. For example, a mother registering her family of four must register all four people separately. Thank you for your support!
Who are you Joggin’ for? When you are registering, we encourage you to create team names with the person or purpose you are Joggin’ for. For example: “Joggin’ for Joe”, “Joggin’ for Mike”, “Crushin’ it for JT”, “Joggin’ for Marines”, “Representin’ the Military”… Whether your military hero is deployed, safe at home with family, or died protecting our freedom, we want you to get out there and jog for them.
